Birgit Lenger, ND
Dr. Birgit Lenger is a Naturopathic Doctor with a general family practice who welcomes patients of all ages. Her emphasis is on pediatric, adolescent, and women’s healthcare. Dr. Lenger utilizes nutrition, botanicals, detoxification therapy, homeopathy, and counseling to prevent illness and restore health. She very much values the relationship that she shares with patients.
Dr. Lenger is co-chair of the board for Alaska Community Action on Toxics. She lectures about the effects of toxic materials on human health at various conferences including Alaska Women’s Environmental Network, Alaska Forum on the Environment, Alaska Health Summit, and Bioneers.
She enjoys outdoor activities including kayaking, skiing, hiking, and Ultimate Frisbee. She is a strong believer in the healing power of nature.
Dr. Lenger graduated from Bastyr University in 2001 with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biopsychology from the University of British Columbia. She is a member of the Alaska Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She joined the Natural Health Center in 2001.
