Dr. Birgit Lenger
Naturopath at Natural Health Center
Dr. Birgit Lenger is a naturopathic doctor in general family practice who welcomes patients of all ages. She is interested in epigenetics and exploring the multitude of factors and influence health. Her emphasis is on pediatric, adolescent and women’s health care.
Dr. Lenger utilizes nutrition, botanicals, detoxification therapy, homeopathy and counseling to prevent illness and restore vitality. As a naturopath, Dr. Lenger very much values the relationship she shares with her patients.
Dr. Lenger graduated from Bastyr University in 2001 with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biopsychology from the University of British Columbia. She is a member of the Alaska Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She joined Natural Health Center in 2001.
Dr. Lenger has been co-chair of the board for Alaska Community Action on Toxics. In her role as a naturopath, she has lectured about the effects of toxic materials on human health at various conferences, including Alaska Women’s Environmental Network, Alaska Forum on the Environment, Alaska Health Summit, and Bioneers.
She enjoys spending time with her family and participating in outdoor activities including kayaking, skiing and hiking. She is a strong believer in the healing power of nature.
