Eagle Dispensary
The Natural Health Center houses an extensive natural products dispensary - Eagle Dispensary. We carry a wide array of herbal and nutritional supplements, homeopathic remedies, and tinctures. These items are specifically chosen by our doctors for their high quality and reliability and may not be available anywhere else in Anchorage. We maintain the dispensary so that NHC doctors can prescribe and immediately provide our patients with superior natural products.
Eagle Dispensary serves only patients of the Natural Health Center. It is not a “walk-in” facility and we do not carry common “over-the-counter products.” Nor are we a health food store. If a NHC doctor recommends a product from the dispensary during your appointment, we will fill it promptly.
Re-fills of NHC prescriptions may be phoned-in to the front desk, left on voice mail, emailed to nhcdisp@gci.net or brought in person. We require 24 hours notice to fill an order, however we make every effort to fill orders ASAP. When you call for a re-fill please provide the following information: patient’s name & phone number, the doctor’s name, name of the product needed (both brand name and supplement name), size of the product (e.g. #of capsules, ounces, milligrams…), and how many bottles/boxes… you need. Be aware that certain products will not be re-filled unless we have a current copy of your labs for blood work. These include: high dose vitamin D, thyroid supplements, and some other hormonal supports. This helps to ensure the health of our patients.
Eagle Dispensary accepts cash, check, VISA, Mastercard, and debit cards. Because the vast majority of insurance companies do not cover the cost of “supplements,” we do not accept insurance, or bill it for you. We will provide you with an itemized receipt if you wish to submit it to your insurance company.
We are happy to provide our patients with mail-out service and we routinely mail products to all corners of Alaska and the U.S. We will carefully and promptly pack your order. You may expect to pay priority mail rates and a small handling charge. Be aware that some items are shipped in cold packs and need to be refrigerated as soon as received.
